Yet again, another great game that’s been given a Christian twist. Scattergories is a wonderful group game. It takes thought, and reveals player’s peculiarities sometimes. This Bible board game is designed to keep us mindful of God’s things while we are having good group time. Youth groups and families, as well as adult gatherings will enjoy pitting their brains against other players and trying to come up with the most unique answer to the category given.
A lot of thought has been put into the questions that make this game uniquely a Christian game.
Most of Christiandom is very familiar with the story of the creation of sin and man’s fall and the consequences. But you’ve never heard it like this before. Archangels the Fall tells the story in graphic novel in a way that will grab the attention of any reader. It’s a great way of getting your kids firmly grounded in the way things really happened, rather then the way secular tales lead them to believe.
Christian comic books are a great way to get your kids interested in reading. I child who has no interest will struggle to improve when the material is eye catching and intriguing. The 3 book box set of the entire Fall series would make a guilt-free Christmas present for any reading age child or adult. This would also be great for new Christians who need better grounding in the Truth.
It’s kind of like “Do You Want To Be a Millionaire”. This Bible board game is a lot of fun for a family or a group. You don’t call for help, but you can ask for another clue. Of course the more clues you ask for, the less points you get. This is fun for people who don’t even have a lot of Bible knowledge, because the clues get simpler as you go, so kids can join in.
This is a Bible Based game that will be a great addition to family nights and youth group activities. Check out and increase your Bible knowledge.
I am a strong encourager of reading and writing. I see a great lack in the kids I work with now, and an alarming lack of concern in the school system. I really feel being able to read well and comprehend and express yourself in writing is a strong foundation for the rest of our education and personal growth through life.
Kids expect fast paced methods of learning today. This is it, an educational computer game. The Word Lab has 36 different games with 6 levels of play and teaches kids many language skills to improve reading and competence in writing. It is hand held and a great addition to a road trip to occupy minds. Encourage improved reading and language skills and watch your kids flourish in school.
My kids are grown and have children of their own. Since they are continually, it seems in school, and working and trying to carry on family life, it seems to me the best thing I can do to help is find things that occupy the kids so they can get the things done they need to.
And on the other hand, doing things that teach and help my grand-kids grow is a help to them. Educational games for kids are a great way of entertaining and teaching your kids and grand-kids. Zingo teaches short term memory, pattern recognition, and shapes. It is for ages 4 to 8 and can be adjusted to encourage more or less competition among players. This is a great occupier for idle kids and a help to not so idle parents.
There’s nothing like a fast game of Charades to start everyone giggling and interacting. Sometimes its good to just feel silly and let it all out. This is a great game for groups to get acquainted or old friends to have a great time together.
Guesstures, the Bible version, is a great Christian Board game that will burn up energy and fill the time in youth gatherings, and adult get-togethers alike. It is a good alternative activity in Christian youth activities and even senior outings. Get everyone talking with their hands. Have fun and keep laughing.
As we read the true stories of the Old Testament, its hard to understand why the Israelites did the things they did. We can get critical sitting in our comfortable living rooms. But I wonder how faithful and trusting we would be of God’s care if we were in their place. Settlers of Canaan may be one way to examine that question.
Based on the award-winning Settlers of Catan, this Christian board game allows exploration and settling of Canaan by the 12 tribes, or however many are playing, as each player is a tribe of Israel. Come up against the problems the Israelites faced and conquer them in God’s name. For ages 7 and up.
Nothing is more fun then listening to a group of kids laughing uproariously over something they’re playing. Laughter is much easier to listen to then grousing and grumbling. Expect a lot of laughter playing Babble.
This Christian board game is a matching game, but a very noisy one, so be prepared. Everyone calls out their words at the same time and slaps down their card when they hear someone match theirs. The game is fast moving and fun. Reading is encouraged. Games that make reading a desired ability encourage kids to improve in this area in order to be competitive. Encourage your kids in babbling and laughter.
Does right beat might? There are times we could wonder about that, but God’s promise to us is the we will win and He is greater then the evil one.
This premises plays out in Unity, a Christian card game that pits right against evil. Evil attacks can be beat by playing a righteousness card. Now, in everyday life, I don’t have a righteousness card to pull out of my wallet when things are going awry, but we can learn to look to the Lord at those times instead of trying to fix everything by ourselves. This Christian game may help in establishing habits of thought; helping us to remember that no darkness can be found in God’s light, and He will always win in the end.
In our family, preparing for the annual Christmas dinner takes a lot of work and planning. However, once the crown roast is in the oven and the hors d’oeuvres have been consumed, there’s not much to do but sit around and wait. Perhaps you can relate to this overabundance of holiday downtime. Once you’ve caught up on each other’s travel stories and updates about kids and significant others, it’s time to find a new way to occupy your attention.
Monopoly: Mega Edition is a great way to kill time while also bringing the family that much closer together. You can learn a lot about someone based on their Monopoly strategy. Does kindly Aunt Jane transform into a merciless land baron when she buys all the railroads? Will cousin Bill ever stop haplessly landing on the space ordering him to go directly to jail? Monopoly is also one of the most educational board games out there as it teaches kids basic economics.
