If You Blink, You’ll Miss It!

Author: Carol T

blink_bible_large1Some games are just designed for kids: they’re fast moving and keep you on your toes. OK, so there’s some kid in all of us. My suggestion for this fast moving Christian card game is for car trips. It’s very portable and entertaining, takes a quick eye and sharp mind. The time will fly by for your kids in the back seat.

But it’s also fun at home, and you might want to try your hand at keeping up with your kids on this one. Have you lost your speed? No watching TV out of the corner of your eye, or you’ll lose!

Mom, America and Apples to Apples

Author: Carol T

applestoapplesbibleAssociative games can sharpen intellect and promote a person to see outside of the box. Christian card games are available that exercise these qualities. Christian versions of secular games add a spiritual dimension to games that are already fun and thought provoking.
Apples to Apples encourages association between a topic and the cards you have in your hand.  Sometimes the association is a little questionable, but that’s the fun. Everybody’s opinion counts. This game will play up to ten people and makes a great Christian youth activity.
Entertain your brain as well as your freinds and family. Can you say “Huh?”

Its a Tough Job, But has to Be Done

Author: Carol T

Ark_1The story of Noah’s Ark never gets old for our children. It has all the elements they love, animals, adventure,  danger, heroic efforts and more. Noah stood for God in a generation that totally opposed all God’s teachings and he  did mighty things for God. He is a good example to us and our children.

The Ark card game is a Christian card game in which you work with Noah and help him out of a tight spot. The weather is beginning to cloud up and all the animals are being really slow about getting on the ark. You help manage the loading. This is for ages eight and up and a great way to spend family night with the children.

I Lost To A Four Year Old!

Author: Carol T

2by2_1One of the first games we’re able to grasp as children is memory. It’s fun and good for the brain, Yours and your child’s. The most amazing thing I’ve found playing memory with my children and grandchildren is that they frequently win! There are not a lot of games you can play with young children that actually give them the edge. This is a great confidence booster for them, and let’s face it, our egos can take an occasional loss.

Bible based games are what we’re all about, so this Christian card game is 2X2, Noah’s animals, how appropriate can you get. So match the two giraffes, lions, etc and fill Noah’s ark. Have fun with your little ones, they grow up so fast!

The game comes in a decorative “lunch pail” to make clean up and storage easy.

Classic VeggieTales, Classic Card Game

Author: Carol T

larrycardsThere’s a reason classic card games have been around so long. They’re fun! They’re easy to catch on to, and with kid’s games, there easy for young ones to learn and even win. When Christian card games mimic secular games, they can also be a tool to keep Christian thoughts in our heads as we play.

This card game is much older then you, whoever you are, and has been fun for many generations of children down through the years. Yet making it a VeggieTale game just adds to the fun. Teach your little ones Old Maid with a VeggieTale twist.

Remember Where?

Author: Carol T

flipnfindYoung minds can be pretty sharp, so it you feel threatened by your kids having an advantage, you may not want to play this one with them. I have been frequently beaten by my grandkids when we play memory games, then I get that sympathetic smirk from them that says, poor grandma. But I do win sometimes!

This Christian card game is a memory game that not only gives your kids a chance to win, but reminds them of the good times they’ve had watching VeggieTale movies and playing with other VeggieTale toys and games. This keep them in mind of the lessons they’ve learned from the VeggieTale characters. So let yourself be challenged with this 32 card memory match game. Your kids will love it!

Playing With Hermie and Friends

Author: Carol T

HermieCardGame1Kids love to play card games together. They love the challenge of winning (beating their brother or sister), and when you have a group, they can all participate and play together. Christian card games also lend an element of spiritual awareness to the play. Hermie is a friend to kids and he and his friends bring great associations into the game.

Hermie and Friends card game is a fun way to spend time as a group. Two to six players try to get rid of their stockpile the fastest. The cards are colorful and eye-catching. There are wild cards. Counting and recognizing numbers is encouraged for smaller children. For ages four and up. This is a great addition to family gaming night.

Become a Prophet of God

Author: Carol T

ProphecyFlierWe don’t all have the same spiritual gifts. And prophesy today is not what it was in the Old Testament. But wouldn’t it be fun to be a prophet for a day? well, maybe not, when you think of all the prophets went through and that most of them were killed by the people they were trying to help.

Prophecy, the Christian card game, allows you to be a prophet for a while, (at least to pretend), but it isn’t easy, trials and tribulation await, and God sometimes intervenes and sometimes chooses not to. The first prophet to make three prophecies wins. This is for ages 8 and up and for two to four players.

Keeping Christ in Our Youth Activity

Author: Carol T

combofluxx1I love the people who make Christian games out of secular games. I mean, that is my business for the most part. There are a lot of games out there that are fun to play and is are great youth group activities, but being able to use a Christian version sets an example that says we want to keep Christ in even our fun times.

Christian Fluxx is the same fun game and plays up to 6 people, so is good for Christian youth activities. It has been expanded with 7 Christian cards and gives the player a bonus for knowing or showing their faith. When you have a group time with your teens, put Christ in the center.
